Chinese Meatball Soup

 

 

MMMMM it’s awfully quiet at the dining room table :0) LET’S GET STARTED!

4 Cups chopped Chinese Cabbage also known as Napa

6 Cups wonton broth or chicken stock msg free.

Ginger Dipping sauce:

1 piece – 2 inches ginger root shredded mixed with 1/4 cup of rice vinegar and a pinch of salt.

Meatballs:

1egg

2 Tablespoons Soy sauce

1 Tablespoon grated ginger root

1 pound ground pork or Turkey or chicken

1/2 cup minced green onion

2 Tablespoons Cornstarch

2 teaspoons of sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

Mix all the above ingredients in one direction until combined and sticky.

3 minutes or so :0)Now…Bring the water or chicken stock to a boil over medium -high heat. Wet hands and make meat mixture into meatballs. Place into heated broth and bring to a boil. Once at a boil reduce heat and simmer covered for 5 minutes. Add cabbage on top and increase heat to return to a boil.  Once again reduce to simmer and cover a couple of minutes. You can serve with Japanese chilies and the ginger dipping sauce.
